Free printable checklist: questions to ask every wedding vendor

  1. 1. Are you available on my date?

    Always confirm availability first.

  2. 2. Which package fits us: full, partial or day-of?

Know exactly when they start helping and what they handle.

  3. 3. Will you personally be at our wedding?

Or will it be a team member you haven't met?

  4. 4. How many meetings are included?

In person, virtual, or unlimited email?

  5. 5. Do you review vendor contracts?

Will they handle vendor payments, or do you?

  6. 6. Do you set up and tear down decor?

Some planners only manage people, not physical items.

  7. 7. How many assistants will you have?

For 200+ guests, one person isn't enough.

  8. 8. Have you worked at our venue before?

Knowing the layout and staff is a huge bonus.

  9. 9. What is your emergency plan?

If they get sick, who runs the day?

  10. 10. What is the deposit and payment schedule?

Most vendors take 25-50% to hold your date. Get the balance due date in writing.
